Concern: Communication among AASL members on
committees is difficult with ALA Connect. Members’ emails are not
displayed. When you make an individual
contact, you cannot tell if your message was received.
Also, the information is not always updated
in a timely fashion. Our Kansas officers
are a year old.
Some task forces are choosing to bypass ALA
Connect in favor of email groups.
Action: The concern was combined with Communication within AASL
#2 by the AASL Affiliate Assembly Executive Committee and was approved.
The Affiliate Assembly body approved of the combined concern and sent
it to the AASL Board of Directors.
