AASL Partnership with Spotlight on Digital Media and Learning

Concern: We need a high level of visibility that shows the value of school library programs to student learning for the broad educational community. In addition to the organizations that we already partner with, AASL could partner with Spotlight on Digital Media and Learning which is supported by the MacArthur Foundation.

We need to promote the grants they offer and have our winning programs published in their magazine to show the intersections of technology and learning in school libraries. We need to increase our visibility in this and various other appropriate educational organizations.

Action: The Affiliate Executive Committee did not approve this concern for submission to the Affiliate Assembly body.
