Concern: The decline in school library media consultants at the Department of Education.
Action: Both the Affiliate Executive Committee and the Affiliate Assembly body passed this concern. The AASL Board of Directors responded with the creation of the State Department Inquiry Task Force, charged to gather, prepare and disseminate information on how a state affiliate can advocate for positions of State Department Consultants/Coordinators and District Supervisors of Library Media Programs.
