Profession's Job Title

Concern: The profession's job title must be clear and up to date as school library media specialists are both teachers and librarians.

Action: Both the Affiliate Executive Committee and the Affiliate Assembly body passed this concern. At the 2010 ALA Midwinter Meeting, the AASL Board of Directors voted to officially adopt the professional title “school librarian.”
