Affiliate Assembly Commendations

Concern: AASL does not list previous commendations on the website. In addition to letting affiliates know what programs have been commended in the past, it would serve as a type of honor roll. Currently, the AASL website lists the Concerns for the previous five years.

Action: Both the Affiliate Assembly Executive Committee and the Affiliate Assembly body approved this concern.

Action: The 2010 Commendation recipients were posted to the AASL website. Based on conversations during the 2011 Midwinter Meeting, two separate repositories will be created:

1. A five year honor roll of programs which have received Commendations will be created and posted to the AASL website.
2. Regional specific archives of Commendations submitted by the region and the results of those Commendations will be compiled and available via ALA Connect or another web utility yet to be determined. These archives will serve as reference and will be available to only regional leadership and delegates.
